DAY 1 - Pesaro, Capital of Culture 2024
Our discovery of this fascinating region will begin with a visit to Pesaro, an elegant city on the Marche coast, Italian Capital of Culture 2024. We will visit the city's landmarks, first and foremost the Duomo, with its early Christian mosaics, the Domus Romana with the remains of a luxurious stately home from the imperial age, and the Palazzo Ducale (from outside), the most important Renaissance building, with its Malatesta imprint. Let us not forget that Pesaro was the birthplace of the famous composer Gioachino Rossini, and it is still possible to visit the "Casa Rossini", dating back to the 15th century, which today houses the Museum, with a collection of 19th-century prints and other memories and relics of the Maestro's life. We will end our visit by heading towards the splendid promenade, where the most representative monument is located: the Sfera Grande by Arnoldo Pomodoro, lying on the surface of the water of a pool with the sea behind it, a copy of the original work is located in front of the entrance to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Rome. DAY 2 - Between Renaissance and Ancient Traditions
Breakfast at the hotel. Today the day will be dedicated to the visit of the Renaissance Urbino: the 'Ideal City', aN Unesco World Heritage Site. It was the birthplace of Raffaello Sanzio, Piero della Francesca and Federico da Montefeltro. From the gardens of Piazzale Roma, dominated by the bronze statue dedicated to Raffaello, we will continue towards Raffaello's birthplace, now home to the Museum and Academy. We will reach Piazza della Repubblica, overlooked by elegant palaces: the 18th-century Palazzo degli Scolopi, the Palazzo del Legato Albani, the Palazzo Ducale, the true symbol of the city, built in 1466 at the behest of Count Antonio da Montefeltro. Lunch in a restaurant. In the afternoon, on to Fratte Rosa, an ancient village, founded in the early Middle Ages (1216'), perched on the hills, in a stunning panoramic setting, famous for its ancient noble terracotta craft. The foundation of the Franciscan Convent of Santa Vittoria, today home to the Terracotta Museum, dates back to the medieval period. Browsing around the ancient workshops, we will learn the ancient knowledge of the potter's art. On the way back we will stop in Mondavio, a small Renaissance bourg, with its majestic Rocca, in an excellent state of preservation. Return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight .

DAY 3 - The Verdicchio places
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for Jesi to discover this beautiful town, a treasure trove of history and culture, halfway between the sea and the hills. This area boasts the birth of the famous 'Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi' wine. Guided tour of the elegant historic centre with ancient origins dating back to Roman times and the birthplace of Frederick II of Swabia. Jesi has been awarded the Unesco 'Exemplary City' title, as it has perfectly preserved its centuries-old architectural, artistic and cultural heritage. Lunch and continuation towards Cupramontana, one of the most characteristic towns in this area, whose name derives from the goddess Cupra, a fertility goddess worshipped by the pre-Roman Picenes. Cupramontana is also the capital of "Verdicchio Castelli di Jesi" wine and the birthplace of Luigi Bartolini, the great 20th-century engraver and author of the novel on which the film "Bicycle Thieves" by Vittorio de Sica was based. Visit to the historic centre. Followed by wine tasting in a local winery, accompanied by typical local gastronomic products. Before returning to the hotel, through spectacular hilly scenery we will reach Montecarotto, a town of watchmakers and the land of Verdicchio, important for its city walls, the Clock Tower and the Church of the SS. Annunziata. Return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 4 - In the footsteps of Leopardi
Breakfast at the hotel and departure for Recanati, the "City of Infinity", where Giacomo Leopardi was born and lived, a typical balcony town from which you can enjoy a wonderful panoramic view on the Adriatic Sea. Visit Palazzo Leopardi and other places very dear to the "poet": the Piazzola del Sabato del Villaggio, Silvia's House, the Tower of the Lonely Sparrow, Piazza Giacomo Leopardi, the Town Hall, the Tower of the Borgo, the Colle dell'Infinito. Everywhere you can still feel the presence of the famous poet, and through his poems and touching letters we will discover many anecdotes and curiosities about his life in Recanati and the places that characterised his childhood and boyhood. After a stop for lunch, we will continue on to Loreto, the spiritual city of the Marche region, another place dear to the poet and the set of the famous film 'Il Giovane Favoloso' (The Young Fabulous One) dedicated to him. Inside the grandiose Basilica, we will be able to admire the Chapel of the Annunciation, decorated with frescoes by Federico Zuccari, the Black Madonna and the splendid House of Nazareth, Mary's home from birth to the Annunciation, which, as many studies show, was disassembled and reassembled in Loreto by Crusaders returning from the Holy Land. Return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay. 

DAY 5 - Departure
